Patient Detail: 42 Y/M
Post urinary catheterisation pain abdomen and blood in urine.
Report:
- Right kidney measures 9.8 x 4.3 cm, normal in size and shows a normal outline and nephrographic density. No calculi/hydronephrosis. No perinephric fat stranding/collection noted.
- Right ureter is normal in course and caliber.
- Left kidney measures 11.2 x 4.7 cm, normal in size and shows a normal outline and nephrographic density. No calculi/hydronephrosis. No perinephric fat stranding/collection noted.
- Left ureter is normal in course and caliber.
- Bilateral adrenal glands are normal in size and attenuation.
- Urinary bladder is not distended. The Foley catheter tip is located above the bladder dome outside the bladder lumen with minimal perivesical fluid collection. Small free air foci are seen in the peritoneal cavity – NCCT features are suggestive of urinary bladder perforation.
- Rest of visualized abdominal organs are normal.
- Visualized dorso-lumbar spine shows degenerative changes.
Impression:
- NCCT features are suggestive of urinary bladder perforation.
